About Macy Grathwol M.S.ED CCC-SLP

Hello! I am an ASHA certified, Virginia licensed pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. My passion is to help children of all stages find their voice to communicate meaningfully with those they love.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University and my Master of Science in Education from Old Dominion University. My clinical experience ranges from inpatient rehab to pediatric outpatient clinics and public schools.

I aim to provide toddlers, children, and adolescents, along with their families, easily accessible tools and strategies to improve their speech and language skills and interactions. My style of telepractice works best when families take an active role in their child's therapy sessions and daily practice.

I have received extensive training and continuing education in the areas of AAC (Unity, LAMP, DynaVox, PECS), Autism Spectrum Conditions, Motor Speech Disorders, and Early Language Therapy. My therapy approach focuses on incorporating family and client goals and interests in order to achieve functional skills and improve quality of life.
